This is the new No 1 here in Australia and I love it I have also had a thing for Latin music and dance since I was a little girl I especially liked and am thankful for the cameo of the grandma played by Lejuan James he is very funny in this video.  A release date for the record has yet to be announced.

Next year I will be turning the big 40 I’m not dreading turning 40 as much as I did when I turned 30 I hated it because I realised I was getting older but now as I’m getting closer to 40 I’m realising I’m still here and breathing and I’m very grateful for that I also realise my eye sight is starting to fade it’s getting harder to read the small print on things so I will at some point be getting my eye’s tested and if I need glasses I think I have found the ones I want:

They are very cool and havana-esque I think and I would be happy to wear them 🙂

As I mentioned above I have loved Latin Music and Dance from when I was a little girl here are a few songs and movies that inspired this enchantment for all things Latin:

I loved this movie so much I tried to win a competition to go over to America to meet the cast and crew I had to write and send the entry away back then in the 80’s lol my how things have changed hey.

When this song came out I just couldn’t stop dancing to it I loved it so much.

I love Madonna and this has to be one of my fave songs of hers as it’s Latin inspired.

I loved and was obsessed with the first Dirty Dancing movie and I loved and was equally enchanted by the second one.

All these memories of my youth make me feel very happy and make me realise how lucky I am to have been able to experience these phenomenal visuals and sounds throughout my life and at times even got to test the moves out on the dance floor.

I’ve always been fascinated by dreams  whether they are the dreams we have in the night or the dreams we want to be or do in life. I don’t always remember my dreams in my sleep but when I do I like to look up what the dream may mean it’s lots of fun and makes my laugh at the meanings here are some for you to look up what your dreams may mean:

1. Falling

Loewenberg calls this dream a “red flag from your subconscious.” She believes this dream is common in people who are having a major life problem with work, relationships, or elsewhere. Grant’s work concurs with this viewpoint, even citing the same examples.

2. Teeth falling out

The experts greatly disagree on this one. Wallace views teeth as a symbol of power and confidence. This dream is supposedly a sign that something happened in the dreamer’s life that has caused him or her to lose confidence. According to Grant, teeth are a bad omen and represent a broken relationship. Lawrence has a Freudian answer to this dream. For women, she believes the dream is an example of wish-fulfillment—they want to become pregnant. For men, it is a desire for sexual stimulation.

3. Showing up to work or school naked

The experts largely agree that this dream represents vulnerability and anxiety. Wallace’s research reveals that this dream is “common to people who have accepted a promotion, gone off to a new job, or who are coming into public view.”

4. Test-taking

Lawrence has observed that only perfectionists tend to have recurring stressful test-taking dreams. She alleges that the dream reminds a person to stay alert. Loewenberg believes that in adults, these dreams draw parallels between school and a job. Because both places see a lot of pressure-filled situations, Loewenberg associates this dream with work stress.

5. Dying

Lawrence’s interpretation is that this dream “reveals the wish to terminate something in life: a relationship, a job, a career path, or even the past.” Grant’s dictionary emphasizes that this dream is not necessarily a nightmare. Rather, he repeatedly states that it is a dream meant to encourage a person to embark on a new endeavor or fresh start.

6. Meeting a celebrity

Wallace names this as one of the dreams his clients have the most. He believes the actual celebrity is relevant and may reveal what talents the dreamer values. In Dream on It, Loewenberg writes that celebrities are a symbol of a personal need for recognition.

7. Being chased

Despite the nightmarish feel of this dream, Wallace considers it a positive sign. He believes that this dream is supposed to encourage the dreamer to finally face a problem that has been hanging over his or her head. Loewenberg encounters this dream more often in women than men.

8. Partner is cheating

Most of these authorities agree that this dream should not be taken as clairvoyance. According to Loewenberg, “The cheating dream happens when your mate is spending too much time and attention on something that does not involve you.” Similarly, Lawrence notes a lack of trust in a romantic relationship tends to spark this dream.

9. Showing up late to something

This dream might be a sign that someone is overwhelmed and doing too much, according to Wallace. On a related note, Grant interprets this lateness as a warning: “Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”

10. Flying

Wallace claims that the dream encourages a person to let go of current issues and allow things to ”fall naturally into place.” Similarly, flying is a sign that there is an out of control situation in real life, according to Grant.

11. Being pregnant

Grant understands this dream as a sign that the dreamer is having problems. Lawrence views it as a need, either to start a creative project or become a parent. Or the dream may be representative of a new idea that has recently come to the person, as Loewenberg believes.

12. Driving an out-of-control vehicle

The interpretations of this dream are just as cliché as expected. For example, Wallace writes, “You may feel that you don’t have enough control on your road to success.” Grant warns that this is a sign that a current bad habit may become a long-term problem.

What Gets You Through The Night ?

I woke up at 2:00 am this morning with intense period pain due to this crazy roller coaster ride that my Thyroid is taking me on I got up and somehow in the dark found the Ibuprofen I took two quietly with some water not to wake my man up from his very peaceful slumber and went back to bed I tossed and turned for awhile then got up and I went on the computer which is in my stepsons room which I have been sleeping in while he is at his mothers house for school terms (not that he goes very often mind you) I did some more research on my symptoms then tried to go back to sleep but the pain was still intense so then I thought what else could I do (I know find some music to listen to that may put me back to sleep) .

So I went back online and went searching for one of my fave singers of all time Nina Simone I came to love her when I saw this movie called The Assassin which heavily features Miss Simone I ended up searching for Nina on Spotify I added all of my fave songs of hers and just listened to her soul soothing beautiful voice and drifted in and out of sleep until my man woke me up at 5:20 am as he was getting ready to go to work (god bless him) I went back into our big comfy bed and slept then until 6:57 am when my body clock tells me to get up even though I’m still so very tired. Here is a clip from the movie for you all to enjoy and Here is some Nina songs to listen to if you wish to. Thank you Nina for some much needed music medicine and I wish you were still with us on this earth so I could let you know how special you were.:)

So what gets you through the night ?

Just Like Fire

We have a new No 1 here in Australia it’s Pink’s Just Like Fire. I love Pink as do so many other people and the fact it’s from the new movie Alice Through The Looking Glass which stars:

  • Johnny Depp (“Pirates of the Caribbean” films, “Alice In Wonderland,” “Mortdecai,” “Black Mass”) returns to the big screen as the Mad Hatter—Hatter Tarrant Hightopp.
  • Anne Hathaway (“Les Misérables,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Alice In Wonderland,” “Rachel’s Getting Married”) portrays the White Queen—Mirana.
  • Mia Wasikowska (“Tracks,” “Jane Eyre” and “Alice In Wonderland”) once again appears as Alice Kingsleigh, who’s on a quest to help the Mad Hatter.
  • Helena Bonham Carter (“Cinderella,” “Les Misérables,” “Alice In Wonderland”) returns as the Red Queen—Iracebeth.
  • Rhys Ifans (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I,” “Nanny McPhee Returns,” “The Amazing Spider-Man”) fills the shoes of Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter’s father.
  • Matt Lucas (“The Labrynth,” “Alice In Wonderland”) returns to the revelry in a dual role as Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
  • Ed Speleers (TV’s “Downton Abbey,” “Eragon”) portrays James Harcourt in the film.
  • And Sacha Baron Cohen (“Hugo,” “Les Misérables”) was called on to bring Time to the big screen.

“Alice In Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass” also boasts an extraordinary voice cast.

  • Stephen Fry (“24: Live Another Day,” “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” “Alice In Wonderland”) is back as the voice of the Cheshire Cat.
  • Toby Jones (“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “Infamous,” “The Girl”) provides the voice of Wilkins.
  • Alan Rickman (“Harry Potter” film series, “Alice In Wonderland,” director/actor/co-writer “A Little Chaos”) returns as the voice of the Blue Caterpillar.

  • BAFTA-winning actor, writer and comedian Paul Whitehouse (BBC’s “Harry and Paul’s Story of the 2s” and “The Fast Show”; “Alice In Wonderland,” “Corpse Bride”) is back as the March Hare.
  • Barbara Windsor (“Carry On,” “EastEnders,” “Alice In Wonderland”) provides the voice of Dormouse again.

which makes it an even more fantastically enjoyable song the movie comes out here in Aus on July 14, 2016.

The weather here in Aus at the moment feels Just Like Fire (it’s currently 27.6°C)it’s unseasonably warm due to the El Niño effect and I’m not complaining I love the heat (it’s usually our winter time here). We moved from Cairns to Mackay 5 years ago (how time fly’s). When we first came here it was freezing (3 degrees for months) well for us Cairns born people (it doesn’t get very cold there and I used to think it did lol  you maybe lucky to get one or two nights of 10 degrees throughout the whole winter lol). Well over the past 5 years in May I’m usually wearing beanies on my head and my big jacket and jeans and bed socks with lined slippers or ugg boots in May. Today I’m writing this post wearing shorts and a t’shirt and sweating so I have the fan on in 5 years this has not happened in May and I’m loving it 🙂

Hopefully this means I can get out a lot more and not be stuck at my computer (as much as I like being at my computer it’s important to get out in the fresh air too.) I would go out unwillingly all rugged up it’s not the temps that get you it’s the wind here in Mackay  there are no mountains to shield the wind from you (like in Cairns there are mountains all around you) and I’m  whinging how cold I am If the weather stays like this I will be one happy girl 🙂

Note: Anything I copy on my blog is only because I’m a fan of the celebrities I post about.

Your Ultimate Celebrity Dinner Party ?

Like me you would probably have some favourite celebs in your head that you fantasize/admire/be inspired by so this got me thinking if I could invite any celeb dead or alive or fictional who would I invite and why.

Well lets start with the entertainment I would have Usher (he is hot and he can sing and dance) and AC/DC (with or without Axl Rose I would prefer Brian Johnson but would understand if he couldn’t make it 😦 lets bring back Bon Scott they could sing together 🙂 ) to cater to my love of pop and also rock music.

That’s the entertainment sorted now for who would cook the Entree’s, Dinner and Dessert I would have Curtis Stone ( he is an Aussie and he knows Oprah so you would get not only great food but good conversation from him ) to do the Entree’s ( Mixed Bruschetta) and the Dinner (Chargrilled steak w chips & vegetables) but not the dessert that would be up to Willy Wonka preferably the Johnny Depp version and I almost forgot the Oompa-Loompas (they can clean up after dinner and sing songs too hehe ( I love chocolate and sweets of all kinds so who better than him to bring his yummy and interesting ideas to the table so to speak)

That’s the food sorted now for the guests ( this for me is the tricky part as I have had lots of celebrity crushes in my life lol.) I will start with my faves from childhood/teenage years  Corey Feldman Christian Slater and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Corey Feldman Picture Christian Slater Picture

Now for some of my recent fave celebrity crushes Orlando Bloom Stephen Moyer and his wife Anna Paquin ( I do admire her and am a huge fan of True Blood gone but not forgotten 😦 ) They can bring their blended family to meet my blended family Awww Sweet.

It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t invite my man’s fave Celebrity’s too so I would invite along Delta Goodrem and Rihanna.

That’s my Ultimate Celebrity Dinner Party please let me know in the comments section below what is your Ultimate Celebrity Dinner Party ? Cheers Brony 🙂
