This makes my blood boil that people with children who don’t work make more than I have ever in a year the highest I have made was $26,000 in a year and that was because I was working everyday doing split shifts working at a before and after school care place and I would often work in the middle of the day there cleaning just to make extra to bring it up to the $26,000.
My man earns around $80,000 a year and has to pay $20,000 in tax a year and pays $8136 in child support a year which leaves us with about $51,864 a year for the both of us (as I’m am not currently working due to my illness) and my stepson when we have him for all the school holidays 12 weeks of the year on top of child support we have to feed him and buy extra clothes because he comes to us in his school clothes and child support and government agency’s like child welfare and education thinks this is acceptable it doesn’t matter that a child is fed junk food and misses 40 days off school (20 of those are unexplained) No that’s ok in their eye’s because he is being fed and hasn’t missed more than 100 days off school it’s also ok now that his mother has a job now that instead of buying him new clothes and nutritious food like vege’s and fruit she buys him a new speaker costing $300 and for her and her daughter a new Samsung S 8 each . No wonder people on Welfare Benefits can afford to rent houses with pools and can buy new cars every couple of years and boats, jet ski’s, motorbikes, pool tables etc. I think it’s also wrong that a person receiving child support and benefits have more adult time/fun time than a person who works hard/pays their bills on time. Why is it never known just how much money they receive for the year from the government and why they hardly pay any taxes why they struggle to pay their bills and struggle to feed their child on weekends when they have all the time/money in the world that they don’t have to be accountable for . I know why if the public knew the truth there would be a riot in the streets from the hard working taxpayers as to why this is occurring and nothing is being done about it.

We have the very same problem over here, Lynne and I had work so hard and have very little at the end of the month, and know people who don’t work and have cash for cigarettes and alcohol, fancy holidays and clothing 😦

Yep it’s very frustrating hey when people have a champagne taste on a beer budget and have no ambition or goals to better themselves or their children.
